The G.Skill Trident Z RGB F4-4000C18D-16GTZR is a high-performance 16GB DDR4 memory kit designed for gaming PCs, enthusiast systems and performance-focused desktop builds using compatible Intel or AMD Ryzen platforms. Supplied as 2x 8GB modules, the kit operates in dual-channel mode to provide increased memory bandwidth for demanding applications, gaming and multitasking.
With an XMP tested speed of up to DDR4-4000 / 4000 MT/s, this G.Skill RAM kit is designed to deliver responsive system performance when paired with a compatible processor and motherboard. Its CL18-19-19-39 tested timings and 1.35V operating voltage provide a balance between high frequency and reliable performance.
Intel XMP 2.0 support allows compatible Intel systems to apply the tested memory profile through the motherboard BIOS, while many compatible AMD Ryzen motherboards can also load XMP memory settings through their BIOS memory profile options. Actual achievable speed depends on the motherboard, processor memory controller and overall system configuration.
The distinctive Trident Z aluminium heatspreaders help dissipate heat while giving the modules a premium appearance. An integrated RGB light bar provides customisable illumination and can be coordinated with compatible lighting platforms including ASUS Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light and ASRock Polychrome Sync.
Built using carefully selected memory ICs and a custom ten-layer PCB, the Trident Z RGB series is engineered for stability at high operating frequencies. The modules are unbuffered, non-ECC DDR4 DIMMs, making them suitable for compatible Intel and AMD desktop platforms.

Compatibility and setup
The rated 4000MT/s profile is an XMP overclock setting, not a guaranteed plug-and-play speed. G.SKILL specifies a default SPD setting of 2133MT/s at 1.20V. Enabling the tested XMP profile requires compatible motherboard and processor support and BIOS configuration. Check the motherboard memory support list and G.SKILL QVL before purchase; achievable speed and stability depend on the complete system. Use the two modules together as their matched kit and do not mix separate memory kits.
